You might take a look over at reefcentral. I haven't been there in a while, but Borneman was doing a study called "The Elegance Coral Project". If I remember right he was studying the disease that seems to be very prominent in these types of corals; he was also studying several varieties.

lol, if you think im going to type out long scientific names then you are crazy!

Purple tips are awesome looking, great find! Over here they cost about 2 times as much as one without purple tips.

Nate Easy on the common names mate... i have enforced a ban on common names for everything in my tank. So far it is working quite well but each time i learn a new scientific... i forget another

I read some fairly in depth info on these when i was out looking and i have followed the recommendations

ie: I have it horizontal on the DSB just around the corner from a large rock, this stops it getting blasted but the tunze output sways it a slight-medium amount. I thought it looked better than average in the dealers tank but when i put it in my tank i got a shock, polyp tips were a much brighter purple and the green was beautiful.

Took 24 hours to fully open but it was halfway open within an hour so im hoping thats a good sign.

When i find an appropriate rock to make the overhang i desire, i plan to place this coral on top of it at mid tank where there is a nice swelling circle and it will have more light also.

chebro,
Matt

Elegance corals are pretty simple to take care of. The tough part is finding one that is in good shape at the LFS. Elegance corals dont tend to ship too well (or are mishandled at the distributor).

You have everything on your tank that it would need. With the Streams you will want to put it in a place where it isnt getting blasted though.
