Saw these at my lfs yesterday and my wife wants one very badly. It would be for my 40 gal. reef. W/ shrooms, polyps, fox coral, candy canes, star polyps, and around a 4-5" sand bed. Just wondering if these guys are reef safe at all. Couldn't find too much info on them just pics. I know they're a type of cowrie. Also have some blue legged hermits and a lot of margarita snails. In there along w/ a electric flame scallop. Would this tank set up be ok or would it be a disaster if this guy was added.

Thanks.

If its the Olive snail that I am thinking of, yes it is reef safe.......BUT your tank will not have enough available food for it to scavange. I would probably pass on it and look at Nassarius snails instead.

Ever since the day you went away
And left me lonely and cold
My life just hasn't been the same
Oh baby no
