at the moment ive got
a voltarn lionfish 6inch

in a 4'x 3'x 2' FOWLR which will turn into a sps reef when i can get the money for lights, better calcium reactor and a much better skimmer.

things i like
eels
predators in general
tangs
larger angels
interesting creatures in general
clowns are a must aswell
(i know from the previous owner of big red crab that it likes to eat little fish )

The crab and lion are going to limit you. Clownfish would be at risk for death, unless you can find one or two adults. You don't have the lighting for anemones yet, so the clowns won't have that protection factor.

A lot of larger angelfish are risky with corals, because they tend to eat them. If or when you want to grab an angelfish, try to get a species which is more planktivorous.

Some of the predatory fish you might consider include large hawkfish, wrasses, and peaceful triggers like bluejaws and pinktails. Large enough to not be eaten, and many of them will get along with the other inhabitants and even corals.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

I agree that the crab and Lionfish will really limit your tank. As far as Tangs I would recommend the yellow tang and a yellow eyed Kole tang as they have an attitude and should be able to hold there own. I would also suggest getting rid of the crab. JMO

The tomato clown will be fish food for the trigger and crab. Dont know that much about the tang but he`ll need to be pretty aggressive.

I`m sorry I meant lionfish. The only thing about getting an anenome for your clown is that he might not host the anenome. I had a BTA and both my clowns ignored it and instead hosted a Pagoda cup coral and a bubble coral. I got rid of the BTA because the clowns would not use it.Here is a post on it.

I`m looking at your tank dimensions. Is that a 120 gallon tank?

The only thing I`m afraid of because of the trigger and big crab is the clowns. Other than that I think you`ll be OK.

The crab has potential to be a big problem with corals. I guess we don't know exactly what kind it is and what its preferred diet is, but we do know that it's large and eats fish. Many crabs are happy to eat corals and other such inverts, and even those don't can still cause damage by trampling them. There's no way to guarantee what your crab is going to do, but personally I wouldn't keep it together with corals.
