OK, in the past I have been one that is against the test strips as they have usually been not very accountable and not very accurate. But, these new ones are the best. The ones I am talking about are; http://www.pentairaquatics.com/products/detail/6way.htm

OK, I have just been testing out these new test strips. I have a bunch of friends that have been doing it as well. We have all come up with the same results, that these test strips work extremely well. All our comparisons were with SW though. They have been 90% of the time, the exact measurements of the liquid test kits, and the tablet test kits. And 100% of the time, they have been extremely close (so close, don't really know which test was off, lol). In other words, no real difference to speak of.

Has anyone else tried them yet?

Yeah...I was going to make a thread on these too, since Marc (acid) recommended them to me. I think we might be sampling them at work, so I think I'll give 'em a try when I go in on Friday.

Great, I'll trust you on the strips...last time I used them they were useless, so this sounds like an improvement...now comes a good question, where can I find them? Petsmart, petco, walmart, target (never mind no pets any idea where? Heidi

If you lived in Ohio or here you can get them at Aquarium Adventure...

Yep, Liana is right, AA carries them. I get mine at one of my lfs. But I did a quick search, and Big Al's online store sells them. Also, I know Petsmart does sell this line, but not sure about the paticular product. You can always check with them, and since they do sell the line, see if they will order some in, if they don't carry them.

Yes, that is what I am suggesting. As several of the tests, I actually tested against Selifert. I tested for SW only, as did the several friends of mine. As my reef tank is probably the only tank that I test on a somewhat regular basis, like once a week for phosphates, calcium, alkalinity, and nitrAtes. Only alkalinity and nitrAtes are on these test strips (of what I test regularly right now), calcium and phosphates are not. But, I went ahead and compared the other tests as well, since they were on the test strips, and my buddys all were doing it as well.
