![]() | Reef Walls Problem |
chavakn![]() Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Jul-2008 | Hello, I have a 55 gallon tank and in the past I had used purple up to make the rocks purple and have been perfect for the past 3 years, this week suddenly the walls started turning pale green, and now almost all the walls are green and with a slimy look. The guy that helps me maintain the tank has no idea what it is, could you help me identify what's the problem? Thanks!!! http://www.liquidarts.org/gifs/photo-1.jpg |

It looks to me like your coralline algae is dying back and a nuisance algae is taking over. That will happen when one or more parameter is out of an acceptable range. I'd personally test those I listed above and do some additional water changes. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |
