Zoanthind fragging | |
Stipajio Big Fish Posts: 352 Kudos: 630 Votes: 1 Registered: 10-Aug-2003 | Hi guys long time no see! I was wondering if someone can help me with a question. I recently bought a peice of pvc pipe that has 2 beautiful zoanthid polyps on it. Now, you could imagine that the peice of pvc can be an eye sore. Well, I was wondering if it's possible to grab the zoanthids by their ba If I cannot do this without harming the polyps, then I will just leave them be and let them populate the peice of pvc, and once there are more of them, then I may try cutting them. Thanks all! Neil |

On the other hand, you could always cut the pipe up to just the little piece of the pipe where the zoos are. Then place it on/near a rock you want poppulated with them. If given the best environment, it should not take long to populate the other rock. There is always a bigger fish... |

But in the end, I will probably keep the zoo's on the pvc. Thanks for your input. Neil |

For now, like I said, I think I'll just leave it as it is and let the zoanthids grow and spread a bit, then I will frag. Shouldn't take too long for them to grow in a 10g nano with 165watts of pc lighting and feedings. Thanks for the suggestion Neil |
