saved a tube worm | |
bencoastie Enthusiast Posts: 167 Kudos: 85 Votes: 1 Registered: 24-Jul-2003 | Well, I had nothing to lose, and I didn't want tell ya'll about it unless it worked, but... About two weeks ago, one of my tube worms had a holed picked () in it. dunno who could commit such a crime, but the tubeworm could only come out half way because it kept getting partially stuck in the new hole. I waited about a day and a half to see if it could fix itsself, alas, to no avail. My lfs that I trust was closed, and would be the next day too. Sorry to ramble like this! Anyway, all I did was use small scissors and, making sure to keep the tube in place in the sand, cut the tube at the hole to remove the entire upper part. It worked! The worm is doing fine. |

I've partially removed a bit of one of my Hawaiian Featherduster worm's tube as well, but it was completely an accident on my part.. Took him a while, but it's already just as long as it used to be before our little "trim" |
