Substrate: Should it be bare bottom or with marbles? Do I put the tank in a dark area or cover it? I appreciate all help Gurlie  |

Neon eggs are photosensitive, and require near total darkness for 72 hours minimum. Oh, and don't forget, soft, acidic water - pH 6.6, no more than 4dH - and condition your breeders with lots of live food!  |

Get a large school 10+ with more females than males(the males will focus on the females and breeding rather than the males). The males will fight a lot during breeding and will damage each other so the ratio should have more females. When I did a water change the neons would spawn the next day every day. The eggs I could not get to hatch. The colony members all died off and all I have left is two females. |
