Unless they are losing colors because they're startled at the sudden light (make sure the room light is on before turning on the tank lights), then you're fine. My betta girls do the same thing. Freaked me out the first time I woke up to find my dark red girls barely showing the colors of their irridescence. (I have three red girls with difference color washes... odd to see girls that are supposed to be red showing up as very pale blue, green or purple!) ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
