I really like the black neon tetras. I think they are fun to look at and really stand out in a tank! Of course, I too am bias as I have only had black neons and bloodfins

Not really a fan of tetras....IMO they dont' have that much personality...but....of the ones I have...gotta be diamonds....just wish the ones that I see for sale marked as diamonds would really be diamonds....the body shape is all wrong :%).

In my case, my favourite tetras tend to be whichever ones I'm keeping at the moment!

Currently I have Cardinals, Lemons and Beckford's Pencil Fish. I did have Rummies (one of which lived to be 7 years old) but when the last of the Rummies passed on to the great aquarium in the sky, I changed over to Beckford's Pencils.

All of the aforementioned are lovely fish

Cochu's blue tetras. They are very active, though. Some people will say that they nip, but mine do not. They do chase each other kind of like a game of tag. They also loke to occasionally school with my glass catfish too. They do not school much with themselves, but they do often fall in with the glass cats. I also like that they are not too common around here.

Embers (Hyphessobrycon amandae - they're not popular enough to be easily recognized by common name!)

EDIT: Blush - I hope no one noticed that error before I corrected it!
