Are these schooling fish, i just bought a small 3 inch guy and wondering if it will be ok in my tank with swordtails.

after a day of watching him, he reminds me of a bala shark.

very peaceful, and seems to like colorbits.

Yep, they're schooling fish. You should definitely get more of them. The swordtails shouldn't be a problem, unless you're adding salt for them or something.
