A month or so ago I noticed a mystery fish swimming around in my female Betta tank. It was about 8mm long, looked very plain and I had no idea what it was. The girls had never been anywhere near a boy fighter (and it didn't look like a Betta baby anyway). I'd moved some hornwort and an anubia on a log to their tank from my tetra tank quite awhile ago so I thought maybe it might be a tetra. Anyway, after a lot of growth the baby looks very much like a juvenile Diamond Tetra! I'd kept Diamonds a little while ago but had lost them slowly to various problems. Never bred tetras before! I guess I'll have to get the little one some mates now

Not quite sure...he's kinda schooling with my Pristellas atm...I don't know if I want to get diamonds again since they're the one fish I've never had much luck with. But I'm kinda protective over this little guy now. If anyone in Bris has a school of diamonds I'd probably give him to them...just don't really want to risk giving him to the LFS

Tetras, being schooling fish, will appreciate a group of 6 or more. Get buddies around the same size for 'em.
