I think they're a great idea since you don't have any schoolers in the tank

Got me I tend to think of them as just bottom feeders; schoolers are stuck in my mind as mid to top dwelling fish.

Cories are shoalers, not schoolers. They tend to hang out in loose groups, whereas schooling fish will group together pretty tightly, often all facing in the same direction.

You could definitely get a big school of rummies, at least ten. There seems to be quite a bit of room in your tank. Just be aware that they can be difficult to acclimate to a new tank, so take extra good care of them if you buy them.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Definately get some rummys. They are great. I also say about 10-12 should work good. They will really liven up the tank because they are constantly on the move and they stay together real well.

hahah Rummies Gotta love 'em!

Cute little schoolers these guys are, I'd go with a group of at LEAST 8.

IME, if you get them healthy they are fine, but if you get a shakey batch in...they will almost always end up with spots and need to be medicated. I'd QT these guys at all costs.

Awesome tetra though. G/L with them, get us piccies if you can.

Yes, get some Rummies, they are very beautiful fish. You can get 8/10 & they will school together.

How big are your Angels?.

One large tank that I maintained had in it -- for years -- two full-grown Angels and a large collection of Rummy-Noses and other fish of similar size. The Angels never made any attempt to attack them, although they WOULD go after fish the size of Neons and Harlequins.
