My Parents are setting up a 15 us gallon tank

My dad has fallen in love with Odessa Barbs and i was wondering if it was possible to keep these fish in this tank and what other fish would be compatible with them?

My mum likes tetras mainly

head and tail light tetrs
rummynose tetras to name a few that i can remember

thanks in advance

Odessa barbs are very nice fish You could stuff a few in there, but it would be nice to upgrade along the line, as they get almost 4 inches long. These fish get along with almost anything, and some of your parents tetras would be just fine, just watch for overstocking

I've got a fair amount of experience with Odessas, and can confirm the above comments. They seem (like some other Barbs, but not all) to be unaggressive toward other and smaller fish. But they do get fairly big enventually, and when they get above a certain size -- like all fish -- they may start succumbing to the occasional impulse to chow down on their tankmates. (My own rule of thumb is that no fish can be trusted in the same tank with another one that's more than 2.5 times its body length.)
