If indeed your neon is carrying some eggs, that doesn't mean that you will have fry. Neon tetras are not livebearers, so if the fish does drop some eggs, there won't be any young unless the eggs are fertilized by a male. Cut down on the feeding somewhat and see if the fish gets any thinner. Sometimes it is best to just not feed fish once a week, anyways.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

chances are that the neon has been over fed flake food, which makes them bloat.

But there still is a posibility that it could be holding eggs, but i don't know the chances of the eggs being fertilized.

i noticed that when my neons over eat their stomachs get very bloated. it looks like their pregnant but actually they ate way too much. i was afraid one would actually explode. .

i suggest cutting down on food a bit and let them digest what they have in their bellies.
i feed my fish once every two days with an occasional snack in between if it looks like they are searching for food or nipping at the plant life.

when a neon is ready to lay she hides in the darkest most remote part of the tank alone n scatters her eggs there most wont b fertilized wait a week or so n check carefully for a lil transparent fry
java moss helps the fry live moving them to a nursery tank will kill most of them
there extremely fragile

Neons breeding in tanks not specially constructed for that purpose is rare, but bset of luck anyways.
