Can someone tell me what tetra eggs look like? Can I see them with the naked eye. I noticed in my tank this morning several small clumps or what looks like eggs, or could this just be some sort of fungus. I'm due to do my water change about now? Should I carry on. Also one of my tetra has been quite fat and pale, his colour seems to be a little better today. I've not been trying to breed so am not prepared at all if it is eggs?

Any help?

Neons as I understand it are egg scatterers, so a clump of eggs seems unlikely. However, it sounds like snail eggs are a real possibility - are there snails in the tank?

Snails - Yes. Two small snails appeared when I put my plant in. Should I get rid of these eggs?

You'll want to if you're anti-snail, yup, but bad news: there are probably more.

Sorry, my friend..

Everything points to snails eggs. Tetras Neons have the bad instinct that eat your owns eggs minutes after laying.

If you do not like snails, search the entire tank and get off al the eggs. Snails breeding are very faster.. Take care..

Tanks for all, good luck with your tetras!

hm..about the snails..I ordered some plants online and as always..they came with snails. I saw some snails sticking on the glass the next few days, and everytime I saw it, I took it off my tank at once. And now a week after, I dun see any snail no more I think otocinclus might also eat some of the snail eggs too (another reason to love those little guys) so u might wanna get some of them (be sure u have enough algea for them to eat tho, they are awesome algea cleaner!
