	Tetra Tank

iltat Mega Fish Posts: 1076 Kudos: 1216 Votes: 0 Registered: 14-Oct-2002	I'd go with approximately 15 lbs of gravel, plastic plants (especially Jungle Val, tall plant that appears like tall, thick-leaved grass), and two schools. I would put in a school of ten Rummynose Tetras (since they school incredibly well) and a school of ten Cardinal Tetras (tinier than Neons, but more appealing in my opinion) PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

tetraman1225 Banned Posts: 155 Kudos: 51 Votes: 0 Registered: 03-May-2003	I would put 15 cardinals, 5 panda cories, and 2-3 ottos. BUt only if you have algae. If you don't don't put them in there because they are reluctant imo to take algae flakes or the like.

Have you really had cardinals smaller than neons though? Everything I've read suggests cardinals are 2" and neons 1". But then I've never kept cardinals so I wouldn't know....not trying to pick a fight, just intrigued to know what the truth is

jase101 Big Fish Posts: 345 Kudos: 273 Votes: 1 Registered: 06-Jul-2004	cardinals are definately bigger and brighter - maybe there is a misnomer going on (i've seen poor quality petshops selling the two species misnamed...and i must admit have bought a dozen cardinals at neon price from a dude who didn't know one end of a fish from the other...) in cardinals the red line goes the full length of the body... i'd go rummies or cardinals for the tank, btw, plus corys (sterbai are real nice).
