Does anyone have any experience with having Von Rios and Lemon Tetras in the same tank? I'm planning on adding a school of one or the other (MAYBE both) to a 20G Long Tank with 2 red swordtails and a rubber lipped pleco.

I would pick one. You could do the lemons to contrast color with your swordtails... or use the vonrios to enhance the red color! But since your tank gallons are limited, pick one or the other. Id do like 6....6 is a school, there is no definition of a "perfect" school... Let me know if this helps!

I see no reason to expect any trouble at all -- Von Rios prefer slightly cooler water, but not enough to make any significant difference.

Why don't you choose 1 school & get about 8 of them.

You'd be WAY overstocked if you did that. Swords can get supprizingly big and if you have a M & F they will multiply like crazy. I think you need to choose between one of the schools or the swords....

I have 2 female swords and 1 male and it takes quite sometime for the females to drop. But yea they are livebearers and everyone knows how easy it is to breed them.

Swordtails have a fairly long gestation period. But the fry tend to be correspondingly better developed when they emerge. And less likely to be snapped up by other fishes in the tank as a consequence. Plus, female Swordtails can grow to be pretty large, so I'd be inclined to hold back on the Characin shoal for a while, especially with a Rubber Lip Plec in there as well!
