Well, recently my friend, who has been keeping his fish quite a while now, is moving out, but he cannot take his fish with him. I know this is not true, as you can, but he wanted them to be safe, so he handed them to me to adopt. He was quite careless with his fish, actually, and so he only had 3 albino black widow tetras, 1 angelfish, 2 platies and 1 neon tetra. I know that these fish need more, but our tank is very very full as it is. The only problem is my Neon Tetra. We feared that it would be in danger alone, so we put it in our 5 gallon with our 7 baby betta fry (they're purple ) Should we get more tetras, as i fear overstocking, and should i get more angels and platies and - well, you get the point. But my main concern is the neon, so please put him first in the priority! Thanks a bunch to all you people who I know will reply and help give this pretty neon tetra a good life.

maybe 4 more neons--that should stress your bioload very minimally, and keep your lone star happy.

Angelfish and platies don't need the company of their own kind as much as neon tetras do. You were right to be concerned with this lone neon, I bet it's really stressed right now. Since tetras add very little to a tank's bioload, I would go ahead and get four or five more neons, and have a small school. That will go a long way in relieving the poor tetra's stress.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
