has anyone on here ever lost the interest to have vast schools of tetras for the more uniqueness of exotic fish and or behaviourial characteristics of cichlids?
i have after a couple of years breeding tetras of various speices i moved on to more exotic fish n cichlids altho i never gave up my piranhas but theres jsut something bout tets that i missed so today i restocked my 20G wit 4 harliquin raspboas 5 cardinals 5 gold tetras 3 khulies n a pair of german blue rams in a heavily planted tank n granite caves now i watch it more then all my other tanks

jsut wondering if others do the same

its funny you mention it. when i started i went form guppies to Mbuna cichlids. i skipped all the normal newb things. well i just took out my remaining Mbuna cichlids and placed them into my 29g tank. took the very few fish from the 29g and placed them into the 75g. ive given the tank a complete rehaul and put in of all things....neons lol. little 2 inch threadfin rainbows. some cories and yoyos with rams and a angel on the list for the future. i did it completly backwards. i jumped from my 1st fish to the "oh my god thats not salt water" fish then back to the simple things. and honestly i agree with you with watching. it is alot more relaxing to watch a school of neons pass by a yoyo relaxing in a plant then it is to watch my Mbunas beat the heck out of each other lol.
