Female blind cave fish are plumper than males, and are more wide-bodied. These are actually pretty easy fish to spawn. If the fish have been conditioned, dropping the tank's temperature to about 20 degrees C will usually induce spawning in this tetra.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

If they spawn, make sure to keep the fry completely dark. They are born with eyes, but they degenerate if the fish are kept in complete darkness...

If they are exposed to light when growing up, they will have partially or even almost fully developed eyes, which is seriously one of the scariest looking things in the world. I know because a pet store near me got in a batch that had eyes that were about halfway developed.

They were so freaky that I had to walk away from the tank.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
