I am thinking of getting some of these to put in a twenty gallon tank. I read that you should keep them in groups. But what i really want ot know about it the eating habits. i only want to get fish that eat other fish, and i was wondering if these fish will eat feeder fish. any other information that you could tell me would be fantastic.

Thanks
Nick

Obviously, it gets its name from the formation of its teeth. This is not a community fish and does not do well even in a shoal of its own kind. The fish is often purchased by aquarists as a tank mate for a piranha. This is not a good idea as it is a food source for piranhas. However, these fish are notorious scale eaters and could kill young piranhas - to answer your question, I think they would eat feeders.

this really isnt a fish for a 20g. they can get over 6in. but if you do get a big enough tank then a school of exos is very cool, always moving. yes, they will definitely eat feeders. if this is something thats a must have make sure to get at least 7-10 of them. they can be very aggresive to each other if their numbers are to low. im definitely with ya as far as wanting predatory fish. good luck.
