First of all, newts aren't safe to have in fish tanks, as they can release a toxin when stressed.

You really have WAY too many schooling fish in there. All those tetras need to be kept in groups of 6 or more. I suggest you choose 2 or 3 that you like the best, return the rest, and get more buddies for the remaining ones.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

For starters, I would use the suggestions given you on your other thread yesterday.

Sir, i posted a new thread b/c I wanted to go a diff direction. I was told by a local fish store that has been in business here for over 20years that I could do those I listed and just thought I would get a second opinion. I don't post on here to feel like I'm being yelled at mocked or anything else in that territory but right now that is exactly how I feel. I will no longer post here in order to keep from posting "nuisance/redunant" posts.

As for the Fire belly newt, i have had him for several months and he has never caused any problems (we have moved and he still did great). He lives in the tank w/a large lily pad to bask on and gets plenty of food that is recommended for him. I also know a friend that has one in their tank at their office and he's had it for 3 years w/no problems.

Mods Please lock all my threads and (if you can) delete my membership......

Now I feel like a heel... I didn't mean to sound mocking, and I certainly didn't yell at you. I just wanted to give you a starting place for answers to your question.
