In my opinion almost every tetra is easy to keep.

A few of the more easier ones are Black neons, black skirts, silver tips, yellow-banded tetras, red eyes, beacon tetras, glow lights and heaps more.........

Lemon, Buenos Aires, black skirt, and garnet tetras are all pretty hardy, if you ask me. Most tetras are fairly tough, as long as they are cared for properly.

I've kept glowlights, lemons, and black phantoms without any problems.

Any particular species you're interested in?

Neons and cardinals are pretty hardy emperors are too. As long as you dont have anything in the tank that will eat em.

Most easily accessable, easy to keep tetra i find are the lemon tetras, Black phantoms, black widow/black skirt/black tetra, black neon tetra, glowlights... hope that this helps with easy to find tetras.. not the "rare" ones...

Black/red/white skirts are probably THE hardiest tetras out there.

No, those three aren't very hardy compared to the others we mentioned. In fact, rummies are some of the least hardy tetras, with neons and cardinals not too far behind.

EDIT: Or were you saying that they were "harder" to take care of? I agree with that, but the sentence doesn't make sense.

The only tetras i've had die on me are neons and rummys.

Rummys are probably the hardest tetra to keep with neons not far behind because of all their problems.

it's weird, isnt it, the difference in experience - i would recommend rummies over all other tetras, as i've never (touch wood) had any problems with them in over 15 years...mine get big, sleek, breed consistently, and die of old age...

Rummies aren't easy to keep & alot of fish keepers find them difficult. I have Rummies & they are Ok, but the easiest for me are :- Black neons, Silver tips, Red eye, Glow lights & Black skirts.
