If not, they're both in the 1" range so I'd say 7-9 of each, depending on your filtration and how frequently you do water changes. Tetras really don't put out much waste so you could safely go a bit high. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

That would change the numbers a bit. You could just have neons, increase your school to 8 or so. If you really want to have two schools, go with one of the smaller tetras, like the glowlights you mentioned. You might be able to get away with 6 of each, even that might be a bit overstocked. Both these species are small, and produce very little waste. In addition, they are peaceful, and I've never heard of either kind being nippy. |

Keep in mind this is coming from a guy with 4 cories and 7 cardinals (4 fry) in a 10 gallon, so you don't have to take my word for it. 10-10 seems a bit heavy though (actually, VERY heavy). Though they may be small, each still gets to around 2" in length, and aren't the most efficient eaters. Last edited by Cup_of_Lifenoodles at 30-Oct-2004 21:18 |
