new rummies! | |
jase101 Big Fish Posts: 345 Kudos: 273 Votes: 1 Registered: 06-Jul-2004 | well, i went and bought 20 rummynoses this morning! they are currently swimming loops and laps along the 6foot, fully planted tank. my old rummies (12 of them) are so excited to have a larger school. it helps so much to have older rummies in the tank - the new ones coloured up so quickly in response to the older one's deep colours. all super healthy. did a 45% water change before all the newies arrived, and they look great. |

My loss rate was about 50%. I finally got a school of 6 into my 75 gallon. One day I was in a LCS (which I don't normally buy from) and they had a tank with nine rummies at a great rpice. On an inpulse, I bought them having temporarily forgotten that I was treating a sick fish in my qt. I risked it and added them ddirectly into my 75 gallon (only time I've done so) fully expecting to lose some. I didn't lose one and my school of 15 has been going strong for almost 2 years. Is there a moral of the story? Maybe, maybe not, but I am convinced with rummies the more the better. |
