![]() | tetras to go with angels |
smnst![]() Hobbyist Posts: 148 Kudos: 92 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-Feb-2003 | I am getting two young angels for a 38 gallon tank. I would like one school of tetras to put in there with them. What do you think would work in this set up? Thanks. |

Exactly how big are the angels right now? If the angels and tetras will be the only fish in the tank, and the angels are small enough to NOT fit small tetras in their mouths, basically any tetra will work. Neon tetras are the natural food of angels, but many people have success keeping them together by introducing them while the angels are very young. Tetras I suggest ba Some people will tell you certain tetras like to nip, but I've personally never had a problem with it. |

You can check the Tetra list at this site's Species Profiles. I don't recommend Neons, as they are small & can be eaten by the Angels, Congo Tetra, as they are african & the water parameters are different & Fin-nipping Tetras, as they'll nip at the Angels fins. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
