Hi all,

I have a tank with two bolivian rams and a school of 5 colombian tetras. Is there a top dwelling tetra that might work with what I have. The only one I know is the hatchet... any suggestions? Thanks,
Dupja

Penguin tetras also stick to the surface. Like hatchets, they are excellent jumpers.

Will penguins be too active for my fish? My fish now are kind of rowdy but I am wondering if penguins will be too rowdy?

Hello Dupja,

Also marble hatchets are an interesting choice and quite peacefull.

But before anything else, we should know what size tank do you have in order ro make suggestions since you must consider your tank's stocking capacity

All the best,

Hi all,
I have a 29 gallon tank with two bolivian rams and 5 columbian tetras...so I don't have much room. I want only 3 more top dwelling fish. I have had hatchet fish before but I didn't know what else there might be that would work with my fish. They are peaceful but a bit fiesty. Thanks for all your suggestions

Penguin tetras are peaceful but fast-moving, so they might outcompete slow-moving fish for food, but that's about it. You'd probably want at least 5 of them though.
