lets start off with the most severe.

male betta. got in a fight de to me forgetting i had already added a comunity male betta to a certin tank. left alone for a few hours (while the fought. came home, removed the wounded male (other wasnt hurt at all) i put him in clean water with mealfix. fight happend like a week ago. i moved him to a 5 gallon because he was getting worse, he has one fin clamped, looks thinner, his ventral fins are thin like thread. (he is a crowntail..although you cant tell now ) and has fungus on one of them that i am planning on whacking off if it doesnt get better ( just putting rough objects in the tank, and he rubbs the infected fin filiment off) it is too close to his body for comfort. he is a little over a year old, and this is the first time he has ever been sick while in my care (i dont know about his past)

weak betta. male. combtail. lives in a 1 gallon and has been lying on the bottom of his tank ever sence his last water change, a betta water change constists of dumping them into a large net over another fish tank, the tank is swished out, and refilled with this water (so ph and stuff like that stay the same) not showing any sighns on the outside.

any idea what i can do for them? i am treating the crowntail with melafix (becasue the fungus isnt columnaris)bu im worried because he wont swim...

You need some PIMAFIX. It is great for the fungus. You can us them both(pima and melafix)at the same time for faster result. The other has me stumped, soory Katie.

well, the crowntail is actualy all better, even though he has some left over damage to the fins, and still has some scales sticking up (not sure why, it just looks different if you look realy close to him) the other one is still sulking, i tried waterchnges, diffreent food, it may possibly be that he has just gotten old, and is feeling his age if that is the case, then i may re-home him to a friend that absolutly adores him, she always talks to him telling him how beautifull he is lol he seems to get a kick out of it lol, although im not sure how my friend will care for him, im sure she will love him just the same and care for him withthe best of her ability, i htink its time to retire him to being a pet

do a WC, and raise the temp, and place him next to another betta, but not a super aggressive one. a very semi aggressive, more on the gentle side. this should make him alittle more active. or you can try a small 2.5 gallon community tank with a slow current, and 2-3 zebra danios(just for awhile) see if that simuli, wont get him more active.

also try alittle salt, and banana leaf mixture, <i use it and works all the time.
