One of my angel fishes has been swimming pitched up 90 deg, tail down, nose up to the water and beathing his fins.. Seems like he's dying! Dont know what has caused this.. Took him in a sick bay and left him there iwth heavy aeration .. Hope he makes it.. Anyone experienced this with angel fishes? Maybe its an internal sickness..

Sounds like the swim bladder is on the fritz, common in koi and orange angels hitting the 4-5 year mark. Weak genes and the consequences of long term dwarfing and organ compression seem to hit them in particular of the available colour strains.

Isnt much to be done TBH except make sure temps are consistant, perhaps try furans and antibiotics if genuine swim bladder infections is suspected (genuine cases are rare). Cut feeding for now to ensure any compression issues are not made worse and make sure constipation is not a factor if at all possible.
