I have had angel fish since I was a kid and I have never seen this before, it looks like the skin if you will, on the angel fish is decaying. I am treating it with ICH meds to see if this will help. If anyone knows what exactly this is or seems like, I'll look up the disease or if its a parasite to see if I can find a similar pic to compare it to. Then I'll know how to treat my fish properly. I really do not think my local department store should be selling fish! I feel SO bad for this thing

FORGOT TO ADD - It's extremely red under the decayed skin.
Thanks for anyone who can help me.

sounds like it might have gotten a scuff during some transport or something and got bacterial infected... treat with melafix and pimafix...

treat until a week or two until symptoms have cleared...

ich meds only cure ich and nothing else... except some other protozoan parasites maybe...

\\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\"

Might be worth looking up oodinium, hexamita, saprolegnia, flexibacter columnaris, staphylococci, aeromonas and pseudomonas to name but a few, if you can get a photo it will really help narrow it down. I guess an ich med would deal with oodinium, so now its probably time to try antibiotics.
