Hi all,
The problem is I have a small 30 litre with a 25W Rena Cal heater, Rena Filstar i1 internal filter. It houses one male betta and a small brisstlenose catfish.
My beloved betta has caught the notororious white spot, and from what I have read you can really only kill this parasite once its detached from the fish.
I'm treating him with quick cure and melafix, and also changing 10% of the water daily.
Is there anything else I can do? He seems to get better on the evening, but by the morning he is less active and a few more white spots have appeared. Should I add the quick cure daily.
Please help

Does it say it is safe for bottomfeeders? Or is it copper based? Ich meds can be harmful to your BN.

Elvis (the brisstlenose) seems quite content, but I will double check asap.

a 30 liter tank (about 7 gals) seems a little small for a BN. They can grow to be 5".....

I have also have a 100 litre tank which will eventually house Elvis, just as soon as I rid my 30 litre of the ich.
I have purchased a small bottle of rid-ich due to plenty of recomendations.
Is there anything else I could to help my betta to full health.

The interpet treatment is apparently ok for the BN.

Are you using CopperSafe and water conditioner simultanously? If so, that could be your problem. The water conditioner neutralizes heavy metals, including copper.
