Black Ghost Knife acting weird | |
fishnewbie Big Fish Posts: 349 Kudos: 619 Votes: 319 Registered: 01-Apr-2004 | My BGK is actin' really strange. He no longer hides under rocks; he is constantly active. I've trained him to come up the top of the tank for food, and he does that constantly. Seems like his sonar is out of whack. One other thing: I see him let out air bubbles every now and then... What do you all think is the problem? |

I must admit that before I got my second one the first one NEVER EVER came out, it use to just hang out behind the filter so I was wrapt when they both started to swim around. Mine are both handfed also. Bettachris, you hve 10? Do they all live together or are they in separate tanks, i'd love more, but 2 is my limit for my size tank. |

Yeah, I knew the thing about using electric organs; just used "sonar" for short, heh. However, I've never heard of them being labrynths... interesting. bettachris - he's just swimming, not bolting. Thanks for the input guys! I'm so relieved. And now and can watch him in peace, knowing that he's in no pain or anything, haha. |

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Labyrinth Fish are members of the order Perciformes. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

fishnewbie Big Fish Posts: 349 Kudos: 619 Votes: 319 Registered: 01-Apr-2004 | Well guys, I have some bad news... he died about a week ago.. I found him swimming near the top with his tail bitten him off and his fins all torn up... eventually he got stuck on the filter intake... had to euthanize him with a knife. Apparently I had neglected feeding my fish for too long and they got hungry or something. Perhaps it was territorial -I don't know. Well I'll have to say it was fun keeping him... almost 2 years now... don't think I'll get another though, for a while at least. |

After keeping him for 2 years you must have been doing something right! . Good luck with your future ones. Cheers - Crusha |
