![]() | Blue Gourami can't swim upright |

In examining him, I see no external problems and he looks completely healthy. He'll stay still and is able to hover along the bottom of the tank but soon as he drifs away from the bottom he cant keep upright. Its been two days and it was a sudden thing. Anyone know what the deal is? By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. Socrates- I happen to have become a philosopher |

If it's a new addition it could have just been in bad water quality @the store. You may need further medications if it becomes too far advanced. Most likely it's just a small ammount of constipation from overeating. It's often seen after a heavy protein feeding among some fish. I'd still keep a close eye on it for a few days after you see any improvement. And a few peas on occasion won't hurt. Now that I have the nitrates under control, is there any chance in saving him? He still is doing the same thing but I don't know if I can save him, however he is still breathing well & looks healthy & he even eats regurlarly but still cant swim straight. I lost a bulldog pleco but no other fish has shown any affects. Seems weird that the two biggest fish in the tank were most affected. By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy.
