sterobin Fingerling Posts: 17 Kudos: 12 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Jul-2006 | Hi my bronze catfish seems to be sick. It had one small white spot on its back yestersay but now has a larger white patch on other side. I have tried to take a picture but to no avail. The fish is swimming about ok and feeding and doesnt seem to be in any distress. I have 2 other bronze cats, 5 zebra danios and a male fighter in the same tank. Any help or suggestions with a cure will be greatly welcome! ENVIRONMENTAL DATA Ammonia: Nitrite (note the I): n/k Nitrate (note the A): n/k pH: n/k Temp: 78f Tank Information Tank Size 3 foot, with under gravel filter and fluval 3 filter. |

Whitespot usually comes up with lots of fairly evenly spaced spots, especially on the major parts of the fin tissue. We really need more detail though, and a pic if you can muster one. |

If it looks like the fish has salt on it, be prepaired to treat for ich. If it doesnt look like salt, I'd rule out ich at this point. Your stock list doesnt' sound at all overstocked, so that's good at least. Is the bronze a new fish, or any of the fish new? Knowing those water readings would help everyone get a better idea of the state of your tank. ^_^ |
