Been getting lots of differant opinions and what to do so I'm going to put everything into this one thread.

3 week ago my fighting fish had a slightly bloated belly. I put it down to constipation and gave him a pea.

Still during the next week his belly kept getting bigger and he tended to have a short white stringy poop attached to him. That lasted a few days then left, but his belly still got bigger.

Finally this week, in my opinion, it's gotten to the point of it looks like he's swallowed a marble. He'll still eat food and still swims around from time to time but he does rest alot more. Not sure if that counts as lathargic though.

here's an image I took just now, tried one with and without flash...my picture isn't the best -_-

Could be a tumour or could be severe bloat. Either way adding epsoms salts to the water will be benificial and keep him comfortable.

Use Epsom salts up to the same dose as you would common salt ie. up to 1g/litre, or 1 teasp. to 5 litres.

Thats all swelling around the gut, could be worms (go for jungle labs antiparasite formula), touch of aeromonas (furan 2), maybe even basic constipation, and bacterial gaseous inflammation, often a fermentation complicit with overfeeding or a blockage of the gut, does he get much fibre in the diet?
