One of my Protomelas (Taiwan Reef) has a clouded eye. I know how to treat that, however, all across his face looks white and flaky? could this be skin? fungus? For now I'm isolating him and treating the eye cloud, no change yet with either. Any ideas? Thanks!

::edit:: I tested the water. pH is 8.0 Ammonia is 0, Nitrites are 0, Nitrates are 0.

it was only clouded for a couple days. I found him last night... he didn't make it. I had moved him into his own tank to avoid infecting the rest of the tank if, in fact, it was something contagious. The water tested fine. I'm thinking he was probably fighting with my other T.Reef male. The closer I looked at thim, it looked like chunks were bitten out of his mouth area. I just brought a new Red Empress home tonight, so I'm gonna keep him/her (too young to tell which) quarantined for a while to see how everyone else in the tank does.

The infection might well have been chilodinella, so make sure the tank is cleaned before adding new fish, and make sure any existing fish are treated.
