Well, as far as I can establish, all my tank parameters should be fine (I use Amquel plus with every change, ammo lock every three water changes, and a ph balancer to put it to 7.0 which I don't really need to use since the local water is 6.8 anyway). The tank is a 20 gal long. It's planted. I use a three stage filter for a 40 gal tank with a sponge, activated carbon, and biological pellets. Temperature is in the range of 74 - 77 degrees. I don't need to use a heater (though I do have one just in case). I'm going to the LFS tomorrow and will have my water tested regardless...

But anyway, doing my weekly 15% water change tonight I noticed that my fish have (very) tiny little white spots on them. 3 of 6 the White Clouds in the tank have white spots on their mouths. One rather ounced (about the size of a grain of sand), and one of the 3 infected has white spots on its anal fins. I also have 5 Bosemanis, two of which are sporting small white fluffs on their mouths. Other than the white stuff, they're all behaving normally. There is also a Pleco, but he doesn't seem to be affected.

I pulled the charcoal from the filter, and treated the tank with a half-dose of Nox Ich tonight. My questions are:

1.) Should I give the tank a full dose, or would this be too much for the White Clouds/Pleco to handle?

2.) Can I treat them for Flexibacter at the same time, or would this be too stressful?

3.) When should I expect to see some results, if this is Ich? If it's Flexibacter?

4.) How long can I wait to treat them for Flexibacter if I need to wait?

Might be able to use a whitespot cure and then use seachem focus to get nitrofuran into the fish at the same time without turning the water into a toxic hell, but TBH as long as you can get a furan med , you could use an organic dye treatment first to cure the whitespot, which will also keep the flexibacter partly subdued, then switch to furan after.

Its a tough situation, its always going to be tricky to beat.
