Fuzzy growth on "hockey stick/ penguin" tetra's eye. | |
fan fan Hobbyist Posts: 127 Kudos: 77 Votes: 13 Registered: 24-Mar-2004 | Discovered a freakish cotton wool like growth on my tetras eye about 10 minutes ago, must of popped up during the day because it wasnt there last night. Water parameters are all normal for my tank and im freaking out as i have no idea what is wrong with it and if its contagious or not. i took a few photos (see below) can anybody help?? http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i153/orangeLJ/P7010385.jpg I have seperated him in a breeding trap at the moment (its a bit to cold to put him in a seperate tank with no heater) and i have just discovered i have no melafix or anything as my tank has been good for ages. any help is good help. |

Saporlegnia fungus Lymphocystis For Saporlegnia fungus use some medicine and a vitaminC rich food You can't do anything abut the other one, but seperate it from other fish. Look up more and check if these are the infections your fish has. Hope I helped. EDIT: is he eating properly and is he swimming normally?
