It appears that one of my clown loaches has ich . It isnt very noticeable but if you get a good look at him from a side angle it looks like grains of salt but they are more of a clearish colour. I am currently using Pimafix for a cardinal with fungus. So my question is can I use another med while using Pimafix? And if so what ich meds would any one reccommend. I currently have stuff called Nox Ich but I don't really like it. It takes forever to dissolve into the water. I am thinking of getting something by Jungle Labs, either Jungle Labs Ick Guard Liquid or Jungle Labs Ick Clear (Tank Buddies). I have had success with previous Jungle Labs Tank Buddies products, so I was thinking to get that. I am not 100% sure it is ich but it looks like it. The clown loach is the only one effected. Water parameters are good:

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
Temp 26C
pH 7.6

[link=This]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/The%20Hospital/61804.html" style="COLOR: #FFD700[/link] is a post about a member's ich treatment for clown loaches. I'd read it in it's entirety - there's some pretty good info there.

First thing first, be careful with your clowns, they are very copper intolerant, and you'll want to check any medication you put in that tank because of it

OK that said, I've had ich in the tank with my clowns once, and I found that simply treating the tank with "the more natural approach" of increasing the temp the easiest, and most beneficial. All you need in a heater where you can tell that you are only raising the temp. by one degree. Then simply raise the temp. 1* F in the morning, and again 1*F in the evening (abt 12 hrs later each day till the tank is at 85* F...leave it there for 2-3 weeks and your problems should be solved. Just be careful not to stress the other fish in the tank, but normally all should be well

That's just my suggestion and what i've done Heidi

I got the rid ich + and did a water change and started dosing. It says 1 teaspoon for every 10g and dose every 24h until needed. It also says to do a water change before every dose. So that means a daily water change until done dosing and then it says to do a 40% water change when done and run carbon (obviously). So do I follow directions and do a water change every day? And the weird thing now is my clowns (after i did a water change and dosed the med) are hiding in the cave grazing like ottos at the top of the cave. They seriously are acting a bit like my ottos now? Is this a bit of stress?
