	HELP MY POOR MAMA MOLLY
breezeblonde Fingerling Posts: 22 Kudos: 10 Votes: 0 Registered: 24-Jan-2004	my molly's tail is disappearing, not sure if it's fin rot or just her kids eating her alive. the kids( now teenagers) are always biting her, they never leave her alone. im not sure if they have done this to her or if its a disease. i have her in the "sick" tank by herself now, but i need to know what tro do. please help. breezeblonde attached this image: [img]http://www.fishprofiles.net/attachments/400870.jpg"]

MDB Enthusiast Posts: 168 Kudos: 80 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Jul-2003	Take a large glass, fill it 3/4 way up with fizzy water. Add 3-4 disolveable asprin, cathc your fish and put in in the glass. It is quick and painless and you will be helping your molly by ending the suffering.

signal20 Fingerling Posts: 29 Kudos: 39 Votes: 0 Registered: 14-Jul-2004	I've had good luck with melafix for fin/tail problems. Maracyn-Two/tetracycline is supposed to treat fin/tail rot. Just read the package to see what it treats. I can't see euthanizing the fish if that's its only symptom. Just my opinion. If you chose to euthanize, read the section under FAQ-euthanize.
