From what I understand you have a brackish tank, and plecos come from rivers in South America with very little salt content. They do not tolerate salt very well.

You pleco could just now be physically showing its discomfort from the the salt - I would move it too a freshwater tank as soon as possible and see if it improves.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Yep, the color changes are probably from stress. If the tank is brackish water, that's really going to make the fish unhappy. It would be in your best interest to move the fish, definitely.

Anthony.....please answer the questions as posted in your other threads. Without more info from you we really can't be of much help. I suspect your problems are related to water quality, your fish are stressed and unhealthy. We can help you correct the problems but only if you help us first by supplying more information.

Thank you

Well what size is they tank? 1 Tablespoon wont even make a 5g brackish. About the pleco , I would "guess" it is a spotted leopard plec i.e. a Gibbiceps. This is very common in these fish. But if it is a Gibby it will grow way too big for MOST tanks.

Plecos (especially certain kinds) can change colors fairly often, to demonstrate mood, in response to lighting, and even to match the substrate of their tank. My bristlenose pleco changes color frequently, and has one color scheme for day, and another for night. Sounds normal to me.
