I'm gonna ask if this meds are very effective against "cloudy eye, white spot or red spot, itch and some other skin related problems (ie. wounds, fin rot, etc.)." Usually how many days of treatment required. Or can you suggest medical treatment for these problems. It seems that the meds ("rid-all" i tried is not quite good...

...and how much this meds "usually" costs in lfs. (just a hint for price, i don't buy online though.) thank you so much for your input!

I've never tried them myself, do you know what is in them? That might help to answer the question of if they would do what they say...heidi

Heidi, nvm... my two balloon mollies had just died this morning, and i tried searching for those meds here in all of my lfs. They didn't have any, except the rid-all anti-fungal, which is not quite good. It's very sad that our lfs don't have meds, maybe it's because our fish here is way more lower prices than meds. i bought the rid-all P 200.00 pesos to treat the two balloon mollies, from that price i can buy 10 balloon mollies. it's just i don't like to see sick fishes and i love them... tnx for the input anyway!

Sorry to hear that your Mollies have died, it is always hard to loose a fish that one got to love (even if a replacement is cheap in the LFS).

About these medications that you mentioned, I have no idea how effective they are, I saw them for the first time when I googled their name.

I don’t know if this medication is available to you, but I used Quick Cure to treat Ich and it is very effective. I am currently using Melafix in combination with Primafix to treat some form of fungal disease. I can’t tell you yet if it will succeed but the fish look already better after 3 days of treatment.

Overall, I don’t think that there is ONE medicine that would help in ALL common illness cases, I think you should get a specific medication for a specific purpose, for example Quick Cure for Ich.

sorry to hear that ur mollies died. and wow, mollies there are so cheap..its like CAD $0.50 each.
