I'm guessing anchor worms-looks like they have the Y shaped tail. I've just read several different ways to treat them, one said salt, another said some meds called dimlin, another said to pull them off(yuck). One thing I did notice, they have a life cycle kinda like ich-so you want to treat the tank-not just move the fish to QT. I've never dealt w/ them, maybe someone with experience can give better info on how to treat......good luck!!!

We went thru this in chat today.

I looked up one of my books and it said to treat the tank with trichlorfon for several months to get every stage of the lifecycle (it was vague about how long)

Apparently the V shapes things are egg sacs on the females.

With that amount, i'd be tempted to take half off, treat the wounds topically and then wait 2 weeks while treating the tank before manually removing the remaining half.

I havent dealt with them before, but it sounds plausable, they are kinda fish-tic-like.

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett
