RidIch Plus should be ok for the Clowns...

Be careful not to overdose and slowly raise the temp to 86 degrees until all spots are gone.

After that, lowering slowly, keep the tank temp at 78-80 degrees.

I have an air-stone in my tanks just because. With raising the temperature and adding the meds, the air-stone would not be a bad idea to assist in replacing the oxygen in the water along with increasing the surface agitation from your filter.

I'd also add an airstone, Phone'sMate gave exactly the right reasons to do it.
Since you're going on vacation will you be able to give your phone number while away to your sitter. Or give them the address here and show them how to set up an account. If any of the fish should die while you're away make sure the sitter know that they'll need to remove or you'll have a rather large ammonia spike.

Just make sure you fully follow the directions on the Rid ich plus, increasing the heat like garyroland mentioned will speed up the life cycle of the ich making it a bit easier to treat.

^_^

The plants should help. The airstone should run 24/7. If it needs to be on a timer make sure you have a check valve or your tank is likely to end up on the floor .

OH MY GOSH. THanks for remnding me of the check valve. I'm pretty sure it does have one though. I was jus thinking that the photothythesis taking place at night. Ya know the Boesmani ahave been hanging around the filter outlet swimming in the flow. Is tht a problem? or is it because of lack of oxygen or something?

That may be due to decreased oxygen in the water (raising the temp will do that). I came home one night to a heater malfunction (96F) to have my golfish trying to swim up the outflow, and the danios curled up around the intake .

Well the airstone is in place and I'm getting ready to do another water change and med dose. I sure hope this works out alright. My clown loaches and blood parrots are the reason for the 75g. It amazes me how fast this came on. The only thing I can think of is that I cleaned all the BBA off of all the plants the other night.
