I just got some Kent Marine RX-P for my ich problem. I have been using Kordons Ich Attack. I dosed the Ich Attack last night.
How should I use the RX-P? Should I put carbon in to get the other meds out or just start using the RX-P? Also, should I use half of the recommended dose since I have cories and loaches or the full dose? It talks about a protein skimmer...and says you must have one. I know that is for marine tanks, but should I use half the dose because of this? I guess it is to get some of the meds out while dosing.
I have never used this and since the directions are for SW tanks, I want to make sure I do it right.

edit: Ok so I was worried about the protein skimmer thing and needing it, so I only used half the dose. Apparently, from what I can understand in the directions, it gradually skims out a little of the meds. So there is not a huge amount in the tank over time. If someone tells me otherwise then on Sunday, when I dose again, I will continue to use only half the dose. I know protein skimmers are for SW tanks, the instructions are very clear about using one. The instructions are only for SW tanks, so not clear about use in FW. I'll see what happens.
