My juvenile (5cm) Long-horn Cowfish has recently developed a white, almost cotton-wool like, growth directly on the 'pupil' of its eye. It is behaving, eating and swimming perfectly well and doesn't seem iritated by the 'growth' but any ideas as to what it is or how to solve the problem would be most appreciated. Thanks

Although I've never heard of a "long-horn Cowfish" I can tell you that damage to the eye many times ends up as a fungus infection...

There's a product that should be dosed as soon as possible, "Fungus Eliminator", that has had good results with eye problems.

There's no time to waste. The fungus will spread and damage the eye, eventually covering the complete socket.

I should have known...

One of the available antibiotic doses for saltwater may be the choice if bacterially related as most funguses are.
