I was all excited because I made my first Mickey Mouse Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus) purchase. We went to the local LFS, who's tanks are emaculate. I have never had a problem with a purchase there before - anyway, about week after having the platys, one died. No explination, or warning. Didn't look sick in anyway, was swimming and eating fine, etc. Well the next day, the other 2 follow suit. All the other fish in my tank appear fine. (even one that I thought was dying a few weeks ago). The temp is where it should be and I haven't had the water tested in a while, but we have changed the water and do clean the tank on a regular basis.

3 Aeneus Catfish
3 Cherry Barbs
a few smaller plants

Sorry for your loss rjmc. It sucks to lose fish. Five out of six of my platies are mickey mouse and I know what striking looking platies they are.
