morpheus21 Fingerling Posts: 21 Kudos: 22 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-May-2004 | Hi, have had problems with some mollies I got the 2 weeks ago. they were black and mottled black ones and so far 3 have died and dont have high hopes for the others. one got white marks similar to white spot and have treated the water and made no difference, other 2 just died. have since read up on net that black mollies are harder to keep than other mollies, was wondering why this is so and if white mollies are hardier? |

They look like grains of salt. Heat the tank gradually to 84F and add freshwater aquarium salt, an added airstone for extra oxygenation during this time, and keep the light off, less stress to the fish. Follow this until you see no white spots for a few days, and clean the tank thoroughly (but not extremely) a shallow gravel vac also (ick eggs will be hanging around) Then wait 4 more days, still no spots ? You're done. Can someone move this thread to 'The Hospital' ? The Amazon Nut... |
