I have an anemone in my marine tank that I've had for maybe 2 weeks. One of my fish has come down with something lately, so I was in the process of isolating it. The anemone had all of his tentacles sucked up inside his body like it does sometimes. I was trying to scoop my fish out with the net and I bumped the anemone. I freaked out when I noticed that it popped!!! It didn't like explode into peices or anything, it just has a little hole in it now. I'm not sure if anemone's are like starfish and can heal themselves because I'm really hoping that it doesn't die or anything. Right now, it looks like it gave itself little stiches or something because the hole came together and has little ripples in it. Is my little guy in trouble here?

Is it the anenome itself or is it the foot.I dont know about the body but when I`ve seen the foot rupture it is always never a good ending. I m pretty sure the body might be the same. I`m thinking that this might have already been like this and you are just seeing it unless your net cut him. Just keep a good eye out on him and maybe he can make a comeback with some good size (25%) PWC`s. If he does start to die and starts falling apart I would get him out before he fouls the tank up. I hope all goes well.

Foot? Not sure which part that is. I'm guessing it's the body that popped and I saw it happen, it was so bizarre!
Honestly, I think it's going to be fine because it looks pretty good today. It's almost like it just sutured itself right back up because the hole is only the size of like a little pin-prick.
I think he's going to be ok. Thank you for your help because I was so freaking scared!

I`m glad he is doing better. Still keep water parameters very good. The foot is the part that he travels on. That he moves around the tank on.
